Casa Estrella do Mar is a very unique property. Right on the beach, this 2 bedroom property that can sleep up to 5, offers amazing beach access, stunning views and great comfort in traditional surroundings.
Once two humble fishing cottages, Estrela do Mar is now a luxurious townhouse, made up of two structures, that give you super accommodation as near to the beach as it is possible to be without getting your feet wet! Made up of two buildings separated by a narrow walkway on the ground and a cool glass bridge on the top level. This is ideal accommodation for two couples or a family.
The ground floor of house 1 (both houses have independent access from the street) has a hall, a fully equipped kitchen with freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a pantry/laundry with washing machine; there is an elevator connecting the entrance level and the first floor and a small staircase leading to a bedroom with a large double bed, with TV and ensuite shower room.
The Master bedroom has absolutely stunning views of the beach and Atlantic Ocean and has a king size bed, satellite TV, ensuite shower room, electric shutters. There is access to the rooftop terrace of House 2, via a glass bridge.
This terrace features a charcoal BBQ, table and chairs for four people, sun beds and sunshade, offering a spectacular setting overlooking the beach which is literally only a few feet away. House 2 faces the beach and offers it has outstanding views of the beach in front. Also in this annex is a fully equipped kitchen with freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is an open space dining and living room, dining area with table and chairs for six people, large living room with satellite TV, electric blinds and curtains. Wireless internet access.
The West Algarve is charming and authentic. Life here is lived simply and at a relaxed pace, marked by the ebb and flow of the tide, rich with the bounties of the sea, the clear blue skies and warm sunshine. The village of Salema is small and quaint yet packed with lovely restaurants offering great local and international food. There are bars and cafés, shops and supermarkets. Nearby, (20 kms) the town of Lagos is a fascinating mix of narrow cobbled streets, old city walls, beautiful churches and vibrant nightlife, enticing eateries and a very relaxed vibe. Further West of Salema (17 kms) is Sagres – home to Henry the Navigators ancient school and fort, where intrepid Portuguese explores honed their skills before setting out on their voyage of discovery. Today Sagres is popular with families and modern day explorers looking for that perfect wave to surf. There are plenty of excellent restaurants serving an eclectic mix of cuisines, including some of the best seafood you will find in the Algarve.

The villa is prepared for your arrival.
Changeover days vary from property to property please email us for more information. It is necessary to vacate the villa by 10am on the last day. Access to the villa is after 4pm on day of arrival.
The quoted rates includes twice weekly maid service with change of sheets and towels twice a week. The rental includes preparation of the villa also cleaning on departure and air conditioning. All bed linen and towels are provided.
SandyBlue can provide many extras on request (charges apply) such as car hire and airport transfers etc. Please ask for more details.
For all rentals, a securing deposit must be paid at the time of booking. This is 25% of the total booking value. All such deposits are non-refundable. The final balance is to be paid 12 weeks before arrival.
Accidental Damage Cover (Non-Refundable)
Casa Estrela do Mar is covered for accidental damage by a non-refundable charge of €6 per person (excluding infants) which will be added to your confirmation invoice. This covers you for accidental damage to the property during your occupation up to the value of €200 per incident. This expressly excludes damage caused through negligence and / or vandalism.
If there has been any damage to the property which exceeds the value of €200, or we believe has been caused by negligence and / or vandalism, you will be notified by email within 14 days of your leaving date and we will issue you an invoice for immediate payment.
In the event of any damage, we ask that you notify us immediately regardless of value.
This does not cover lost house keys which will be immediately charged if lost.
Security Deposit (Refundable)
In addition to the ‘Accidental Damage Cover’, Casa Estrela do Mar is also subject to a refundable ‘Security Deposit’. This is a fixed amount of €500 and is payable at least 4 weeks prior to arrival date.
Any damage caused to the property must be reported immediately and any damage cost will be deducted from your security deposit. Your ‘Accidental Damage Cover’ will cover the first €200 of any single incident.
Following your departure, the Property Management Team will inspect the property and you will be informed within 10 days of any issues identified. Your security deposit will be returned within 14 days.
