Halloween in the Algarve - spooky fun for the whole family!
Halloween in the Algarve is full of tricks and treats! This year, all of the festivities will be taking part during the October half-term, so there will be so much to get up to for the whole family.
There is something for everyone, especially the children - though we are sure the pumpkin carving and the costumes will unleash the inner-child in the adults too! We wanted to share some of the upcoming events so that you can plan ahead.
2026 Halloween at Quinta do Lago
Quinta do Lago has a packed programme of Halloween fun planned for 2026, with events taking place throughout the week leading up to the big day:
- 26th October – Scary Run: Kick off Halloween week with an active afternoon starting at The Shack. Costumes are encouraged, so get your trainers – and your best spooky outfit – ready!
- 27th October – Pirates of the Scareiibean at The Shack: A pirate-themed afternoon with face painting, glitter, Halloween games, a bouncy castle, live music and a special pirate performance.
- 28th October – Bovino’s Boo Bash Brunch: A family-friendly Halloween brunch featuring face painting, balloon modelling, games, a Halloween workshop, live music and a DJ.
- 29th October – The Haunted Shack: The Shack gets a spooky makeover, with Halloween games and activities for children plus live music by the lake.
- 30th October – Spooktacular Costume Parade at KOKO: Little witches, ghosts and monsters can show off their Halloween costumes, with face painting, glitter and a magic show adding to the fun.
- 30th October – Haunted Dinner at Casa do Lago: Spend a spooky evening by the lake with a Halloween buffet, family entertainment and live music.
- 31st October – Spooky Mini Golf: Take on Quinta do Lago’s nine-hole mini golf course with a Halloween twist, plus face painting, glitter and balloon modelling during the afternoon.
- 31st October – Pumpkin Carving & Trick or Treat at The Magnolia Hotel: Children aged 4 to 12 can get creative with pumpkin carving before heading off for some Halloween trick-or-treating.
- 31st October – Zombies on the Loose at Dano’s: Finish Halloween with costumes, face painting, live music and plenty of spooky family fun – just watch out for the zombies!
2026 Halloween at Vale do Lobo
Vale do Lobo is joining the celebrations with a Halloween Family Party on 31st October, taking place at the Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy and Smash Sports Bar from 3pm to 7pm.
Families can look forward to:
- Face painting and glitter
- Halloween-themed games
- Inflatables
- Live music
- A Tennis & Padel Open Day for children and adults
- A special Halloween menu and spooky drinks at Smash Sports Bar
- Access to the Tennis Academy swimming pool, weather permitting
Costumes are highly encouraged and, even better, entry is free.
