Villa Alma is a beautiful villa in a quiet but central location on the 5* resort of Vale do Lobo.
Welcoming you to Villa Alma is an antique wooden door leading into the entrance hall. Off the entrance hall is the large and comfortable sitting room, with working woodburning stove and patio doors leading to the outside terrace. There is a big L-shaped sofa with pretty printed cushions, coffee table, two armchairs and a really eye-catching set of mirrors, encased in portholes on the wall. There is a dining area with large wooden table and sitting for ten guests. On the wall, there is a large, modern print which is a real centrepiece. The kitchen is open plan and well fitted with a coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, large American style fridge, gas hob and electric oven.
Next door to the kitchen is the utility room with a washing machine, freezer and sink. Leading off the kitchen you have the TV snug room, which has a very comfortable L-shaped sofa with colourful cushions, a large flat screen TV with DVD, cable TV and patio doors leading out to the garden. There is also a desk area and fun posters on the walls.
Walk your way through the sitting room, through the corridor and you will find 3 beautiful en-suite bedrooms. Bedroom 1has a storage cupboard and patio doors leading out to the outside terrace, with en-suite shower room with WC and washbasin. Bedroom 2 has a storage cupboard and patio doors leading out to the garden terrace, with en-suite shower room with WC and washbasin. Bedroom 3 has patio doors onto side garden, a storage cupboard and an en-suite shower room with WC and washbasin.
There is a very spacious double bedroom off the entrance hall, which has a king size bed. There are patio doors leading to the pool terrace so the bedroom has a lot of light. Very pretty mother of pearl inlaid chest of drawers and a very original picture cabinet of cut-out butterflies with map prints on them. Large storage cupboards and there is an en-suite bathroom with bath and hand held shower over. Also a modern shower with glass doors, WC and washbasin.
Up to the first floor from the entrance hall to the master suite, which has a king size bed and is a large light room with glass patio doors leading out to the upstairs terrace. There are 2 built-in storage cupboards and stunning bedside lamps. The en-suite bathroom has a large bath with hand held shower over, twin washbasins, 2 heated towel rails, a bidet, WC and large glass door tiled shower. The terrace from this bedroom has outside furniture and overlooks the pool with steps down to the pool area.
Outside area consists of terrace with parasol, 10 sun loungers, garden furniture and table and chairs overlooking the freeform shaped pool, which measures 8m x 6m x 3m, depth at shallow end is the 1m and deep end is 1.80m. There is a BBQ area with table and chairs and a gas BBQ and outside sink. There is a pretty seating area around the back of the property, the perfect place to sit quietly and get away from it all!
There is car parking for up to 3 cars on the drive. The walk to the beach takes about 10 minutes walking along the calçada footpaths through the resort. It is an easy stroll, suitable for all ages and buggies.
Very close to the villa is the highly recommended Paixa restaurant/wine bar on the Jardins Do Golfe development. Open from lunch through late evening, Paixa has a tapas menu, à la carte menu and serves delicious cocktails. It boasts a fabulous selection of wine displayed in a glass wine cellar. In winter, there is an open log fire which makes this a wonderful restaurant to relax and enjoy our lovely mild winters here.
It is only a 10 minute walk from the villa to the medical centre and mini market on the entrance roundabout or 5 minute walk to a cash machine, post office, newsagent, bank, hairdresser, spa, cafes etc in Parque do Golfe. There are many more restaurants and bars are located at The Praça which is a 10 minute walk from the villa.
In The Praça there are numerous restaurants and bars – open all day and late into the evening. There is free live entertainment from May to September. Monty’s Bar and Restaurant is open all year round with evening entertainment. Enjoy watching the sunset over the beach and ocean from Breeze bar or Sandbanks.

Vale do Lobo is located in the beach area known as ‘Praia Vale do Lobo’, considered to be one of the finest beaches in the Algarve. From Vale do Lobo you can walk in an easterly direction to both "Praia do Ancao" and "Praia do Garrao" through the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa which is a heritage protected area of lagoons and wet areas that support the local wildlife population. If you walk towards the west you pass "Praia do Trafal" and "Praia do Almargem", following onto "Praia Forte Novo" and then onto the Quarteria stretch of beaches.
LOCATION INFORMATION: There are building works taking place approx 110m around the corner from Villa Alma which have begun during March 2018 and will continue for up to 24 months. Works will take place from Monday 8:00am to Friday 8:00pm. These are the normal and legally recognized working hours in Portugal. Due to regulations in place, this work will be put on hold during July and August. Please ask for more information.

All rental periods include 1 mid-week maid service with towel change. Extra maid service available please ask for details.
Pool heating is available and costs an additional €330 per week. The price is inclusive of VAT. Please note that the temperature of the water when heated is dependent on the external temperature / weather. Cold overnight temperatures and rain will mean that the water may be cooler. We cannot guarantee a temperature of the water.
Changeover days vary from property to property. In summer a Saturday arrival is not possible, please email us for more information. It is necessary to vacate the villa by 10am on the last day. Access to the villa is after 4pm on day of arrival.
The quoted weekly rates include maid service with a mid-week towel change. Stays of 13 nights or more include a long-stay clean and linen change. For stays of 9 to 12 nights for your comfort, there is a compulsory additional maid service with linen and towel change at a surcharge of €302.58. The rental includes air conditioning, preparation of the property and cleaning on departure. All bed linen and towels are provided.
Individual hire : Foldaway bed with linen and towels €125, baby travel cot (as provided by manufacturer) & provision of foam mattress, linen and towels €90, high chair €30. Extra Maid service on request - €60 per 2 hour booking (this consists of either 1 maid for 2 hours or 2 maids for 1 hour).
SandyBlue can provide many extras on request (charges apply) such as pool tables and table tennis (where installation is possible), in villa catering, car hire and airport transfers etc. Please ask for more details.
For all rentals, a securing deposit must be paid at the time of booking. This is 25% of the total booking value. All such deposits are non-refundable. The final balance is to be paid 12 weeks before arrival.
Accidental Damage Cover (Non-Refundable)
Villa Alma is covered for accidental damage by a non-refundable charge of €6 per person (excluding infants) which will be added to your confirmation invoice. This covers you for accidental damage to the property during your occupation up to the value of €200 per incident. This expressly excludes damage caused through negligence and / or vandalism.
If there has been any damage to the property which exceeds the value of €200, or we believe has been caused by negligence and / or vandalism, you will be notified by email within 14 days of your leaving date and we will issue you an invoice for immediate payment.
In the event of any damage, we ask that you notify us immediately regardless of value.
This does not cover lost house keys which will be immediately charged if lost.
