Maintaining properties and putting them on the villa rental map has always been at the forefront of our success. We are now expanding our team to continue to further improve our property portfolio and attract new guests to the Algarve.
We are looking for an Maintenance Technician to join our team in The Almancil Area, to help keep our properties in perfect condition and addressing all issues in a professional manner.
About the role
As a Maintenance Technician , you are responsible for ensuring that all the properties in the SandyBlue portfolio are maintained to the best of standards. Given that SandyBlue’s overall mission is to ensure the provision of a high quality service that delights our clients and exceeds their expectations, you are required to maintain an exceptional customer focus towards both owners and guests.
Performs installation and maintenance tasks for all equipment in the properties
Comply with the implementation of the preventive maintenance plan and the necessary corrective maintenance
Liaise with Operations and other departments, providing them with services upon request and in coordination with Maintenance supervisor
Oversee the operation of equipment, detect and diagnose anomalies
Plan, develop and control maintenance and conservation work on equipment and installations, in accordance with safety, health and environment standards and specific regulations in force
Program and establish the system and working methods of disassembly, repair and assembly of components and/or equipment to define the application of appropriate processes, materials and tools to carry out the work, according to the diagnosis made
Control and evaluate the maintenance interventions and the intervened equipment, using appropriate instruments
Proceed with the installation, preparation and testing of various types of machines, engines and other equipment
Collaborate in the further development of methods and projects to adapt systems and equipment to improve efficiency and prevent breakdowns
This role requires a first-class communicator, who is passionate about the companies portfolio of villas and apartments etc providing owners , guests etc with a service they won’t forget.
Experience within a property maintenance role

Availability to work shifts
Ability to plan and organize, stress management, problem analysis, teamwork, attention to detail, ease of communication with all
Fluent in English and Portuguese and highly effective oral and written communication skills
Other languages beneficial
Valid Driver’s license
