Housekeeping Supervisor

Maintaining properties and putting them on the villa rental map has always been at the forefront of our success. We are now expanding our team to continue to further improve our property portfolio and attract new guests to the Algarve.

We are looking for an Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in The Almancil Area, who will uphold the high standards guests and owners expect from us.

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will support the Executive Housekeeper and team in maintaining properties and working areas in a clean and orderly manner. You will be a support to the entire department thus undertaking daily housekeeping operations and maintaining the housekeeping operating standards.

You will support the Operations team in delivering an excellent service, thus ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. You may also be asked to assist with other projects across the business on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Ensure all hygiene, safety and cleanliness of SandyBlue's Villa and Apartment portfolio Contribute to the supervision of the upkeep of the Villas
  • Manage the cleaning, laundry and stock area when assigned to create a good working environment
  • Good upkeep of all stocks - Linen, Materials, Villa equipment, Cleaning products and hospitality products
  • To organise the guest needs under indication of management Routine inspection of properties to ensure they meet standards set
  • Report maintenance issues to superiors
  • Participate in training and help conduct training alongside the Executive Housekeeper
  • Represent the needs of the team to others in the company
  • Comply with company security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation;
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Responsible for the control of stocks as directed
  • Cost control of Laundry by ensuring proper usage
  • Ensures compliance with Labour legislation in the respective department
  • About you

  • Proven experience in the hospitality industry for at least 2 years
  • Compliance with service standards determined by the company
  • Strong sense of responsibility and organization
  • Someone who can lead by example, training staff to achieve great results
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Knowledge of other languages is desirable
  • Time flexibility Driving license
  • A team player, who can integrate into a company that values constant growth and has prestige in the villa rental space
