Our second stay!

We stayed this year for the 2nd time in this villa. Casa Julima is a very nice villa with everything you need. It's very clean, comfortable and well furnished. Good internet in the house and oustside by the pool. Comfortable sunbeds and several possibilities to lay in the sun or shade near the pool. We received a nice welcome basked and the housekeeper is very friendly and helpful. We had again a great holiday and hope to get back soon.

Casa Julima is the best of them all!

We have recently returned from a fabulous 10 days in Varandas Do Lago staying in the beautiful Casa Julima. We have stayed in a number of villas over the years but Casa Julima has been the best of them all - the property itself, facilities and location. We spent many a happy hour drinking and eating under the outside roofed area and the outdoor fridge is a masterpiece! Credit must also go to Sandy Blue who provided a first class letting service. Communication and customer service was excellent throughout. We will definitely be using you again.

A wonderful holiday thanks to SandyBlue

Once again we had a wonderful holiday in the Algarve thanks to Sandy Blue. As we all know, it is very tricky and challenging to travel internationally at the moment, but Sandy Blue made this as easy as they could with updates as well as answering my endless emails about the travel situation. I can only imagine how inundated the team must have been, but I almost received a swift reply. Thank you Sandy Blue for making things as easy as possible. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in Casa Julima and it again was absolutely perfect. It is close to everything and yet still very quiet and peaceful. Although the beach is very walkable, I would say that a car is essential if you are staying at Casa Julima. Everything just works at Casa Julima - the bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and spacious and the outside is wonderfully set out. The kitchen has everything you need and the whole property is spotlessly clean. I can highly recommend both Sandy Blue and Casa Julima. Thank you for a truly wonderful holiday.

A beautiful villa and a lovely stay

We had a lovely stay in Casa Julima. The villa is beautiful and very well maintained & equipped with everything to make your stay very comfortable. The outside space, pool, lounge chairs and dining area are just perfect and also well maintained. I’d like to also mention the house manager, Lita, who was so nice and helpful. Lita was extremely thorough and efficient when she came to tidy, change linens etc. We look forward to staying with you again in the near future.

WOW, I'm not exagerating when I say that our 2 weeks in Casa Julima was probably our best ever holiday in Portugal!!!!

WOW, I'm not exagerating when I say that our 2 weeks in Casa Julima was probably our best ever holiday in Portugal!!!! We were so impressed from the moment we walked through the door... It is a lovely, spotlessly clean,very well-maintained villa with everything you could need. We were delightfully surprised to find a small basic supply of groceries, lots of pool inflatables & even sun creams !!!. It's a very nicely furnished bright & spacious villa. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of pots & pans if you choose to cook at home, it also even has a toasted sandwich maker. The TV had every channel you could think of & wifi was just perfect at all times. The bathrooms were beautifully decorated with a very good supply of towels, toiletries & toilet rolls. The bedrooms were very spacious with plenty of storage & the beds were so so comfortable. The pool & garden area was brilliant, plenty of sunbeds & several parasols should you need shade. We used to BBQ on several evenings & enjoyed the outdoor dining area everyday. We have had a wonderful time, thank you so much &

Another lovely holiday spent at Casa Julima

Another lovely holiday spent at Casa Julima, courtesy of Sandy Blue, who we've used on a number of years. We love the location around Quinta do Lago. The pleasant little shopping centre with lovey cafes/restaurants, chemist, & boutique shops. The walks along the Ria Formosa to the beach, where you can sit have an espresso & just enjoy the ambiance. The myriad of golf facilities. Lots of great eateries covering every taste, pizzas, pasta's, burgers, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Argentinian & of course Portuguese. Our local favourite remains the family run Don Camillo, where Jorge & Fleur look after us well. We'll be back again in 2019, God willing & Brexit notwithstanding.

I would highly recommend both this villa and also SandyBlue as a company

We had an amazing holiday staying at Vila Julima, Quinta do Lago. The villa was beyond our expectations and the photos do not do this villa justice. It is a very generous villa with plenty of entertaining space but plenty of room to have a quiet minute to yourself. On arrival we were greeted with a many additional items that we were not expecting, the food and drink in the fridge along with complimentary toiletries were all a welcome & added bonus. The villa is in an ideal position, it is close to Faro airport (but not too close), the many beautiful beaches and the many fantastic restaurants are all within a 10 minute drive which makes it a perfect place for a relaxing holiday. I would highly recommend both this villa and also Sandy Blue as a company. The whole experience was easy yet professional and it made our holiday a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Great and well-equipped!

‘Lorna and I have been coming to the Algarve for over 25 years. This is the first time we did not stay in a hotel or with friends. The villa was great and well equipped. There was just the two of us but it was evident that there was more than adequate space for families. There was a neat and tidy south facing back garden that was also very well equipped and despite it being late December/early January we did sit outside although we decided not to take advantage of the swimming pool! Everything was well organised by SandyBlue from the welcome pack of provisions through to very comprehensive directions with pictures on how to find the villa. Very professional. We have our favourite restaurants over many years. For great fish we go to Casa dos Pinheiros and for something with a warm welcome which is open on a Sunday and reasonably priced we go to Iberico. For our special dinner on the last night we always go to Casa do Campo which is owned and run in a delightful old farmhouse by an Irish lady called Jackie. All these restaurants have been in the same ownership virtually since we first went to Vale do Lobo/Quinta. For lunch we like Izzy’s beach bar although Julia’s nearby is also good. We enjoyed our golf although San Lorenzo and Vale do Lobo were a bit worn out. Perhaps the owners do not have the same funds available as they used to! Quinta South was in excellent condition and we were fortunate to play with friend at the new Quinta course, Laranjal. We had a great New Years Eve at Casa do Lago with friends and there were spectacular fireworks over the lagoon to see in 2014’.

This is the 2nd time with have booked with SandyBlue

Yes we got back to a rather wet Scotland, thanks. Thinking about our next holiday already :-). As far as a review is concerned quick comments you're welcome to use as follows. This is the 2nd time we've booked a villa through Sandy Blue and assuming we come back again to Portugal for the 6th year running will use them again. All arrangements made through Sandy Blue worked, and all the team were very pleasant to deal with. Casa Julima is a lovely villa with everything you need. It's very well furnished and looks lovely when you walk in the door. Two weeks later and we had little to complain about apart from having to leave. The only small criticism was the very slow and unsecured internet connection but that really shouldn't detract from a very well appointed villa. (Managers note- we are escalating with PT to improve the line service). We stayed in Verendas do Lago last year and find it a great base to get to the beaches, the Ria Formosa, golf courses and local restaurants. The best restaurant by the way is Don Camillo, where Georges and his wife look after you really well. The food is absolutely wonderful and really well priced. We always end up eating there 5 evenings at least and we've never had a bad meal. On the subject of restaurants, don't ignore Louro in the new Conrad, lovely surroundings and priced to match the local restaurants in the immediate area. My daughter and son in law like De Barra, good cheap bar food served with a smile. Overall we've had another lovely holiday in the Algarve and look forward to a return soon. Cheers Colin
