Easter is a super time to visit the Algarve. The calendar may say Spring, but the weather usually says Summer! There are many fun activities for kids and adults over the Easter period, that range from the traditional to the not very traditional at all. Here’s our round up of the bests events and things to do over Easter in Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago and surroundings.
Easter at Vale do Lobo
Vale do Lobo is a top notch luxury resort that takes the enjoyment of their junior guests very seriously. They have a super programme of children’s entertainment planned from 19th March to 3rd April, from 3 - 6pm. Bouncy castles, face painting, balloon modelling, crazy hair challenges and plenty of other treats take place daily under the watchful eye of skilled child minders while the themed workshops will have them learning crafts, meeting new friends, and bringing home a gift at the end. Easter weekend, the traditional Easter Bunny will be leading the way in egg decorating and the fantastic Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, 27th March.
Easter at Quinta do Lago
Award winning Quinta do Lago has a bumper Easter Entertainment programme, with fun things to do for all ages. Aside from the regular entertainment such as live music at The Shack bar every Thursday, and Jazz sessions every Sunday at Casa do Lago, there is lots of Easter themed action planned too. Enjoy the Night Glow Golf Competition at the Mini Golf on the 25th March, a lively Sunset Session at The Shack on the 24th or a Family Run around the Ria Formosa on the 25th. Easter Sunday should be a super day for the family at Quinta with a fun Easter Egg Hunt, bouncy castles, face painting, climbing walls, live music and more free activities. There are also activity camps over the Easter period at Paul McGinley golf Academy and at the Lago Watersports Centre by the lake.
The gorgeous beachside restaurants are always a great option for a sunny, lazy meal. Enjoy one of Izzy’s famous Sunday Sunset Sessions, or the live music lunchtimes at BJ’s Oceanside.
Make the most of your stay with some fun days out – head off road on a Jeep Safari, explore by Segway, charter a yacht for the day or simply hire a car and explore at your own pace.
