SandyBlue and The Awaze Environmental Clean-Up Week
At SandyBlue, we’re proud to call the Algarve home. Its golden beaches, sparkling waters, and stunning natural beauty are what make this region so special. That’s why when Awaze announced its annual Environmental Clean-Up Week, our team couldn’t wait to roll up our sleeves and do our part.
Across Europe, over 300 Awaze colleagues dedicated their time to cleaning up local environments - from city parks and forest trails to beaches and wildlife areas. Together, they contributed more than 1,700 hours and collected over 400 bags of rubbish. A fantastic effort that reflects a shared commitment to protecting the places we live and work in.
The SandyBlue Team Hits the Beach
Here in the Algarve, the SandyBlue team took to Algarve coastline for an afternoon of cleaning, collecting and caring for our local beaches. Armed with gloves, bags and plenty of enthusiasm, we worked together to clear litter and debris, helping to preserve one of our region’s most beautiful stretches of sand.
This was about giving back to a place that means so much to us and our guests. After all, the beaches of the Algarve aren’t just where our guests relax and recharge. They’re an essential part of the environment we’re all responsible for protecting.
And, of course, we couldn’t resist rounding off our clean-up with a well-earned treat at BJ’s Oceanside, celebrating a great afternoon of teamwork, laughter and shared purpose.
